Point Engineering offers opportunities to engineers from Graduate through to Senior level through our in-house training. The suite of in-house on-the-job Oil & Gas Engineering training offered by Point Engineering is multi-disciplinary and flexible in nature, with emphasis on building engineering design capacity and capability through employee training. Each stage of the training program focused on employees from a particular discipline or a group of related disciplines, the objective being a clear, concise work method of what new employees in that area need to learn in that stage.
The Stage 1 training program prepares the fresh graduate after successful completion of the NYSC service year, i.e. one year after graduation, with a well coordinated oil and gas design internship necessary to embellish his/her academic experience and enhance employability and leadership.
Stages 2 to 5 involve advance and more detailed training. Accordingly, the curriculum of each of the five stages has been developed to contain engineering applications based on skills levels. In general, Point Engineering offers in-house training in the following oil and gas design disciplines:
Graduate Trainee Engineers should have good academic records, a minimum of 2.1 (second class upper) degree in one of the following disciplines: Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Civil, Computer Engineering and Computer Science.
Graduate Trainee Designers should have a minimum of HND upper credit or equivalent in any engineering associated disciplines.

Experience Professionals should have good academic records, possess a minimum of 8-12 years relevant experience in the field of specialization, be no more than 40 years of age and posses a University Degree with a minimum of second class Lower Division in any of the following Disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Gas Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/ Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting and Administration
Experience Designers should have good academic records, possess a minimum of 8-12 years relevant experience in the field of specialization, be no more than 40 years of age.
